"High-precision U-Pb zircon age from the Triassic of Italy: implications for the Triassic time scale and the Carnian origin of calcareous nannoplankton and dinosaurs". Geology, v. 34, pp. 1009-1012. Link Katrina maintained hurricane strength well into Mississippi, but weakened thereafter, losing hurricane strength more than 150 miles (240 km) inland, near Meridian, Mississippi. It was downgraded to a tropical depression near Clarksville, Tennessee and broke in half. One half continued to race northward, affecting the Central United States along its path, and was last distinguishable in the eastern Great Lakes region on August 31. On August 31, Katrina was absorbed by a frontal boundary and became a powerful extratropical low, causing 1.97–6.69 inches (50–170 mm) of rain in 12 hours, as well as gale-force wind gusts from 31 to 61 mph (50 to 98 km h) in southeastern Quebec and northern New Brunswick. In the region of Saguenay (Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean) and Côte-Nord, rain caused breakdowns and failure in roads. The Côte-Nord region was isolated from the rest of Quebec for at least 1 week. The other half of Katrina broke off in the eastern part of the Appalachians, primarily leading to a significant tornado outbreak in the area from central Georgia (Georgia (U.S. state)) to central Pennsylvania, killing two people and causing millions of dollars in additional damage. Formerly a rebroadcaster of Montreal's CBF (CBF-FM), CBSI was launched as a separate station in 1976. The station now has several rebroadcasters of its own throughout Quebec's Côte-Nord and in parts of Labrador.

Serpukhov

Sergei Nikitin and was introduced in the official stratigraphy of European Russia in 1974. Fedorowski (2009) It was named after the city of Serpukhov, near Moscow. The ICS later used the upper Russian subdivisions of the Carboniferous in its international geologic time scale. "L'avan-garde se portera sur Bronnitsy, sur la route de Kolomna, si l'ennemi a laisse de monde sur cetter route; car, s'il s'etait porte tout entier sur la route

the Upper Ordovician into two stages. After considerable research, however, it was determined that no single faunal zone existed that could accommodate the upper stage of this division. Therefore, in 2003, the ICS voted to add an additional stage to its official international time scale. This was named the Hirnantian after Bancroft's stage. The IUGS is currently (mid-2005) nearing a decision on whether to ratify the Wangjiawan North section as the official Global Boundary Stratotype Section and Point (GSSP) for the Hirnantian stage. This section is located near the village of Wangjiawan, approximately 42 km north of Yichang city, in the People's Republic of China. It was approved unanimously in 2004 by the ICS. In spring 928, Xifang captured Jingnan's Gui Prefecture (歸州, in modern Yichang, Hubei), but soon Jingnan forces recaptured it. Wikipedia:Yichang

St. Louis

just south of the Missouri (Missouri River)-Mississippi confluence. Much of the area is a fertile and gently rolling prairie that features low hills and broad, shallow valleys. Both the Mississippi River and the Missouri River have cut large valleys with wide flood plains. Limestone and dolomite of the Mississippian (Mississippian age) epoch (geologic time scale) underlie the area, and parts of the city are karst in nature. This is particularly true of the area south
