La Jolla

He became commanding general of Air Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio in October. McNarney retired on January 31, 1952 and held executive positions with General Dynamics, and later served on the Draper Committee. He died February 1, 1972 in La Jolla, California.
