The average annual rainfall is approximately 7 inches (177.8 mm). During the winter months, daytime highs average about 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). As typical with the desert in relatively undeveloped areas, there is nothing to keep the heat continuing after the sun sets, so temperatures rapidly drop after sunset.
