Madison, Wisconsin

in 1930, joining the state's two Progressive Senators in a popular attempt to end the financial collapse that was wreaking havoc throughout the nation and much of the world. Early life Davies was born in Watertown, Wisconsin to Welsh-born parents Edward and Rachel (Paynter) Davies (Rachel Davies (Rahel o Fôn)). He attended the University of Wisconsin Law School from 1898 to 1901, where he graduated with honors.
