Eskilstuna

—''Kulsprutegevär'' or "machine rifle") chambered for the 6.5x55mm m 94 cartridge. The m 21 is a variant of the Model 1919 designed to Swedish (Sweden) specifications and manufactured initially by Colt's and later under license at the Carl Gustafs Stads Gevärsfaktori (Bofors Carl Gustaf) in Eskilstuna. Compared to the Model 1919, the Swedish weapon has—apart from the different caliber—a spiked bipod and pistol grip. The m 21 would become one of Sweden's main support weapons in the interwar years together with the water-cooled belt-fed Ksp m 1914 medium machine gun (Swedish adaptation of the Austrian M07 12 (Schwarzlose MG M.07 12)). Dissatisfied with the rapidly overheating fixed barrel of the m 21, Carl Gustaf began to design a new quick-detach mechanism for the barrel which mates the externally grooved chamber to a series of rotating flanges in the receiver operated by a locking lever. The barrel also received cooling fins along its entire length. These enhancements were incorporated into the '''fm 1935''' prototype which was favorably evaluated during trials in 1935. The final version was the '''Kg m 37''', adopted for service in 1937, which uses a smooth contour, unfinned barrel. Numerous m 21 guns were retrofitted with the screw-on receiver extension and quick-change barrel, and renamed the '''Kg m 21-37'''. The m 37 remained in service until being replaced by the FN MAG, but was still in second-line use until 1980. Carl Gustaf also developed a belt-fed prototype; however it was never adopted.

the cheaper and more portable canvas had become the main support medium. The young Rubens (Peter Paul Rubens) and many other painters preferred it for the greater precision that could be achieved with a totally solid support, and many of his most important works also used it, even for paintings over four metres long in one dimension. His panels are of notoriously complicated construction, containing as many as seventeen pieces of wood (''Het Steen'', National Gallery, London). For smaller cabinet paintings, copper sheets (often old printmaking plates) were another rival support, from the end of the 16th century, used by many artists including Adam Elsheimer. Many Dutch painters of the Golden Age (Dutch Golden Age painting) used panel for their small works, including Rembrandt on occasion. By the 18th century it had become unusual to paint on panel, except for small works to be inset into furniture, and the like. But, for example, The National Gallery in London has two Goya portraits on panel. Transportation Since the completion of east-west running Longhai railway in 1916, Shangqiu has been a local transportation center. This standing is greatly enhanced following the construction of the Beijing-Kowloon (Hong Kong) railway in 1996, which crosses with Longhai railway at Shangqiu. Nowadays, Longhai railway has become the Chinese segment of the larger "European-Asia continental landbridge," which runs from the sea port city Lianyungang to Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Shangqiu thus obtains the name of the city of the "golden cross." On the other hand, the road transport is also convenient and getting even better. The east-west direction Lianyungang-Khorghas (Xinjiang) national route 310 and north-south Beijing-Zhuhai national routh 105 also cross at Shangqiu. Highway traffic is fast-developing too. The Shangqiu-Kaifeng segment of the Lianyungang-Khorghas highway is already in use. Future planning for highway construction is also underway. Virgiel was created in 1898 as the result of emancipation of the Catholic (Roman Catholicism) youth in the Netherlands. Catholicism had long been repressed by government policy, and Delft Catholic students wanted to unite to discuss their faith and position in society. At the time, most members also belonged to the Delftsch Studenten Corps, the oldest student fraternity sorority in town. '''Berbice''' is a region along the Berbice River in Guyana, which was between 1627 and 1815 a colony of the Netherlands. After having been ceded to the United Kingdom in the latter year, it was merged with Essequibo (Essequibo (colony)) and Demerara to form the colony of British Guiana in 1831. In 1966, British Guiana gained independence as Guyana. Preparations were made to attack the Dutch (Netherlands) towns, the principal trading rivals of Lübeck, when the death of Frederick I (Frederick I of Denmark), king of Denmark, in April 1533 changed the position of affairs. The Lübeckers objected to the bestowal of the Danish crown upon any prince favorable to the Empire or the Roman Catholic religion, and Wullenwever went to Copenhagen to discuss the matter. At length an alliance was concluded with Henry VIII of England; considerable support was obtained in North Germany; and in 1534 an attack was made on Christian, duke of Holstein, afterwards King Christian III (Christian III of Denmark), who claimed the throne.
